Last Saturday, July 21st , members of Maritime spent the day at Port of Spain’s Emperor Valley Zoo with the children of Couva Children’s Home and Crisis Nursery. This extremely hot and sunny day didn’t stop anyone from exploring and searching for their favourite animals. From talking to the parrots to feeding the giraffes to monkeying around in the jungle gym, the 22 children sure had a blast.
Couva Children’s Home provides a safe environment for children who have been abused, abandoned or socially challenged and provide them with the ability to achieve their full potential. Maritime was pleased to be able to share another day with these kids and loved to see them all so excited about spending time with their favourite animals.
