Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily cash flow statements
  • Prepare monthly management package

Assistant Accountant – Mutual Funds
Description:
To provide the accurate valuation of Client's funds and to report thereon.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accurate valuation of all instruments for the production of accurate NAV pricing
  • Ensure that all private portfolios under management are accurately valued daily
  • Ensure that daily transactions are settled promptly and approved investments are executed in a timely manner

Maritime Capital - Accountant
Description:

Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. Prepares Management and Financial Statements and General Ledger Accounts for Company and calculates Net Asset Values for Mutual Funds. Performs general accounting administration and bank and client accounts.

Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Must be knowledgeable in the preparation of Financial Statements under IFRS Standards
  • Knowledge of the Accounting Cycle, with particular emphasis on financial securities and treasury accounting
  • Generate timely and accurate Management and Financial Statements for the Company including Notes to Financials
  • To prepare and calculate the Net Asset Values (NAV) for the range of Mutual Funds as well as preparation of Management and Financial Accounts
  • Prepare General Ledger Accounts for all Financial Statement Line Items
  • Complete all regulatory and business reporting in a timely, complete and accurate manner
  • To process cheques, wire transfers and all other Treasury Accounting Transactions
  • Administering over general accounting responsibilities, ad hoc administration and projects as required.
  • Work with auditors and manage the audit process
  • Keep track of all Financial Securities and Repurchase Agreements
  • Reconcile Bank and Client Accounts
The preferred candidate should have:
  • Completed ACCA
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • The ability to manage high volumes of financial data
  • The Ability to work with limited supervision
